Destination: Lisbon, Portugal
Dates: March 11, 2016 – March 13, 2016
Charming, colorful, and enchanting, Lisbon, Portugal has everything one could possibly dream of. I never imagined Portugal as being on my top list of must see’s in Europe, however, it is a new favorite of mine!
The city itself is a fusion of Latin America, Europe, and definitely reminds me of one of my favorite cities in the world: San Francisco, California.
Lisbon is the capital and largest city in Portugal, filled with narrow, winding storybook-like streets, seven hills (which seems like an underestimation), and pretty things all around you.
The people are warm, the alleyways are filled with tiled buildings, bright colors, and stoned walkways, and every once in a while, you get a peek of the bright blue river Tejo and the bright Portuguese sun shining through the buildings.
This quaint, rustic city rests on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, and exudes warmth, culture, and more than you could ever ask for. We stumbled upon the best restaurants filled with locals, ventured off to neighboring towns (Sintra & Belém), and fell in love each step of the way.
This city truly captured my heart and soul, I can’t wait to go back and see more of what Portugal has to offer. It is definitely a future destination on my list. I could not say enough good things about this city. It is an absolute must!
Thank you for your beauty, charm, and warmth, Lisbon. You are the perfect city for solo travel, a girls weekend, a romantic getaway, or even a family vacation. I simply cannot recommend visiting here enough!
Besos,
