Long overdue… but here’s a recap on my trip to Ibiza and Formentera. Lauren and I rented a car and drove everywhere, I absolutely fell in love with how beautiful these islands were.
Friday
Stop 1: Las Salinas
Meet Lauren – A fellow AuPair friend from Texas.
Stop 2: The Mystical Island – Es Vedra
Stop 3: Cala d’Hort
One of my favorite stops, the most peaceful, beautiful location with a view of Es Vedra.
Stop 4: Cala Tarida
Stop 5: Cala Comte
Ā Stop 6: Cala Bossa
The contrast between the bright turquoise and sapphire blue waters was incredible – not to mention the waves pulling in from all different directions. An amazing spot to stop!
Stop 7: Sant Antoni
Stop 8: Atlantis Sunset
Saturday
Day 2 of our road trip – check out the beautiful places we discovered below!
Stop 1: Platja des Cavallet
Stop 2: Historic Ibiza Old Town – Dalt Villa – Ibiza Castle – Ibiza Port
Another one of my favorites – the most charming little town, Dalt Villa and the Ibiza Castle have the most gorgeous views of the sea and the city.
Stop 3: Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera
Stop 4: Hacienda Na Ximena
Stop 5: Cala Benirras
Stop 6: Cala D’en Serra
Stop 7: Las Dalias Hippy Market

Stop 9: Es Canar
Stop 10: Punta Arabi
Sunday
Stop 1: Sant Francesc Xavier

We followed a narrow little road, unsure where it would take us, in hopes of finding this lighthouse. It led us right up to it and was one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
Stop 3: Platja de Migjorn
Stop 4: Cala des Mort
Stop 5: Pilar de la Mola / Faro de la Mola
Another really cool lighthouse overlooking the sea – Amazing!
Stop 6: Calo de Sant Agusti
Stop 7: Es Pujols
Stop 8: Playa Sa Roqueta
Stop 9: Playa de Ses Illetes
Monday
Unfortunately, we are up before the sun to head to the airport and back to Barcelona today. Saying that out loud sounds awful – Barcelona is amazing and I love it – but this was truly a magical weekend, perhaps even my favorite so far.
Ibiza and Formentera captured my heart with their beauty, and I know this is a place I will come back to one day, and you should too! The best way to see the islands is by car, but definitely give yourself more than just a weekend to truly enjoy and take in each stop along the way. My favorite thing about road trips is the hidden spots you discover along the way. The journey is always just as great, if not better, than the destination!
Besos,
